At our inaugural St. Charles Small Business Owner Panel, members of our local business community will share their successes and challenges. Jill Card, owner and founder of Jeans and a Cute Top Shop, and Kim Lawson, the Operating Partner at Puebla Modern Mexican, will join Laura Macklin-Purdy, Development & Branding Manager of the Downtown St. Charles Partnership, in sharing their experience of what has worked well for them in St. Charles, and the help that may be available to our local business community.
The St. Charles Writers Group is a workshop for novice or experienced writers that meets the second and the fourth Saturday of each month. The group is open to all those 18 years of age or older looking for a community of writers and seeking to improve their writing. All genres are welcome. Topic: Poetic Sounds
The Library is pleased to partner with WDCB Radio for an hour of jazz. Saxophonist Geof Bradfield, joined by pianist Ben Waltzer and bassist Dennis Carroll, will perform the music of Billy Strayhorn and Thelonius Monk as well as favorite jazz standards.
