Beginner Reader Books by Reading Level
You know the books – the ones by the dragon, sometimes called the red dot books – the beginning to read books – the books under the JR Reader sign. Finding a book by reading level just got easier! Just a click away.
Select reading level, and print the list of your choice. Lists are from one page to three pages in length.
The reading level lists are arranged in alphabetical order by the author’s last name, the same order as the books are on the shelf. Booklists range from 1.0 to 3.9 – that is, the beginning of First Grade through the ninth month of Third Grade.
The lists are meant to assist you in finding books on an approximate reading level in our JR Reader collection. The Gunning Fog reading level for a book will be found in the lower left corner just inside the cover. Reading level assessment is exclusive to the JR Reader collection.
The lists will be updated twice a year with new titles. Revised lists will be posted in January and June.
