Youth Services: Infant - Grade 8
Your Library plays a very important and active role in encouraging and developing an interest in lifelong literacy and learning. The goal of Youth Services is to serve the child, infant-age 5; student, grades K-8; and adult by providing and maintaining a collection of materials, offering assistance in readers services, retrieving information, and presenting programs to stimulate reading.
Upcoming Events for Kids
This small group story time is designed for children with sensory processing issues. Stories and activities will engage the senses through books, music and movement.
Story time for independent children, which will foster a love for books and reading, and help to develop auditory and social skills. Thursdays are repeats of Wednesdays.Session 2 is a repeat of session 1.
Preschool children and early elementary age children are invited to hear stories at the Creek Bend Nature Center at LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve. After the program, explore the Nature Center and walk the trails. Cosponsored with the Forest Preserve of Kane County.
(DATE CHANGE TO FRIDAYS)Do you love to create works of art? This program will introduce you to a few of the many great artists in history. After learning the different art styles of Da Vinci, Picasso, Van Gogh and Eric Carle we will sketch, draw, paint and create our own masterpieces.
