Summer Reading 2019
Join a Summer Reading Program and receive coupons and prizes for reading books!
NOW THROUGH SUNDAY, AUGUST 11
Places everyone…it’s showtime at the Library! You’re the star of the show in our 2019 Summer Reading Program. Adults, teens and kids are all invited to participate! View our Summer Reading Kickoff Video on YouTube
Adults (Ages 18+): Pick up your playbill book log and start reading or listening to what you like. Beginning Monday, June 10, you may sign in once a week and receive a coupon (while supplies last) from one of our terrific sponsors. Every week, you’ll also have the chance to test your knowledge with trivia questions and to submit your name for our weekly prize drawing!
Young Adult (Grades 9-12): Track each book or audiobook you complete and fill out your book log. Completing four titles gets you a special summer reading t-shirt, while eight titles gets you a free paperback book. Log in every week for coupons and to be entered to win one of three grand prizes: a local gift card package, a Kindle Fire or two single-day passes to Wizard World.
Youth: Kids of all ages are invited to track their reading minutes. For every 20 minutes you read, fill in a seat on your book log. Try to “pack the house” and go for 500 minutes! Bring your completed book log back to earn coupons and cool prizes. Everyone who reads 1,000 minutes receives a free book and the first 200 participants to turn in their 1,000 minutes will receive a ticket to our end-of-year Summer Reading Carnival on Saturday, August 17!
Titles can be in any format: printed book, eBook, audiobook or Playaway.
