The St. Charles Public Library is looking for four dedicated library advocates in the community to serve as nonpartisan library trustees. These individuals represent the residents of the Library District and will:
· Ensure quality library service
· Practice strong fiscal stewardship
· Determine the strategic focus of the organization
Candidates will be chosen in the upcoming 2027 Consolidation Election on April 6, 2027. The seats are for (3) six-year terms, and (1) unexpired two-year term, which begin June 2027. Trustees serve on a volunteer basis and are asked to attend monthly Board meetings in addition to occasional committee meetings. Candidates must be residents of the Library District and at least 18 years of age. Petition packets are available at the Library or by downloading here. Petitions may NOT be circulated prior to August 25, 2026.
Filing Period: November 16-23, 2026 The administration office is open Monday – Friday from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. during this filing period.
