Friends of St. Charles Library

Featured Image Title

Fostering community and supporting programs and services since 1978

The Friends are a group of volunteers that support and help fund library programs, services, and amenities that fall outside the library’s budget.

We raise funds through various activities during the year, such as:

  • Fall and Spring Used Book Sales
  • Online sale of vintage books
  • Lobby area used book sales
  • Holiday gift wrapped books and cocoa mug sales
  • Library merchandise sales
  • Magazine and Children’s Used Book Sales

Meetings are held three times a year – October, February and June.

The next meeting is Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. A continental breakfast will be served at 9:00 a.m.

Members pay no yearly dues, but membership requirements include:

  • Attending at least one meeting a year
  • Participating in one activity (i.e. book sale)
  • Serving on a committee if asked

Benefits of membership are numerous:

  • Make new friends
  • Have fun participating in fund-raising projects
  • Receive our eNewsletter
  • Help the environment by recycling books through the book sales

If you have a love of books and a desire to help support your Library, you are just what the Friends are looking for. Pick up an application at the Welcome Desk or download the online form below.
