The Sunday Concert Series began in 1979. The library has hosted hundreds of musicians, singers, and professional performers from a wide variety of musical styles.


April 26 – Quartet 61 – Vive La France!*
Come and enjoy a French-themed musical feast of Quartet 61’s creative arrangements, including music of Edith Piaf, Claude Debussy, Maurice Ravel, Django Reinhardt, and more. Quartet 61 is a unique instrumental ensemble featuring harp, guitar, violin, and cello, playing music that is sure to please a diverse range of musical tastes. These four professional conservatory-trained musicians love to collaborate and bring the unexpected to classical and popular music of many eras.


June 28 – A Patriotic Celebration with the West Suburban Flute Orchestra
This family-friendly celebration includes patriotic favorites performed by members of the West Suburban Flute Orchestra.  The West Suburban Flute Orchestra, based in Wheaton, IL, is the largest flute orchestra in the United States, with a roster of more than 140 flute players. The orchestra utilizes the full spectrum of the flute family – from piccolo all the way down to contrabass flute. The West Suburban Flute Orchestra was founded by David Kelsey, Outreach Services Librarian at the St. Charles Public Library.


September 13: The Chris White Jazz Trio / STC Jazz Weekend
Join Chris White and his jazz trio for an afternoon concert of standards and popular songs. This concert is a part of the annual St. Charles Jazz Weekend.  

October 4: Guitarist Brad Conroy *
Come and enjoy an intimate performance which features music of 19th Century composer Giulio Regondi, Spanish composers Isaac Albeniz and Enrique Granados, a few of Brad’s originals, and a premier of a new work dedicated to him by Eduardo Morales-Caso.


October 18: Petra van Nuis & Dennis Luxion
Chicago-based duo, vocalist Petra van Nuis and pianist Dennis Luxion, return to the Carnegie stage for a spectacular jazz performance.  


November 1: Elgin Symphony Orchestra: Cello and Piano Duet *


November 14: WWII Radio Hour with Matt & Cynthia Gruel
Step back in time with Matt, Cynthia, and a special guest performer as they bring the spirit of the 1940s to life in The WWII Radio Hour! This trio will delight audiences with beloved hits. 



January 24, 2027: Alba Quintet Performs Vivaldi’s Four Seasons*
The Alba Quintet features a flute with four amazingly talented string players to perform all Four Seasons by Vivaldi. Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons remains one of the most iconic works in classical music to this day. Composed in the early 18th century, this set of violin concertos vividly portrays the shifting moods and imagery of Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. The flutist and violinists alternate between the concerto and orchestral parts for a performance not soon to be forgotten.
