High School Volunteer Application

Important Deadlines

Winter/Spring Session will run Monday, February 11 – Friday, May 10

Applications are due Friday, February 1. You will be contacted the week of February 4th if you are accepted.

All new volunteers must complete an orientation. Winter/Spring orientation will take place the week of February 11.

Become a High School Volunteer

Are you looking for a way to gain experience for your first job, add to a college application, or help in the community? Consider volunteering time at your library.

You will get the opportunity to work throughout the Library on a variety of projects to develop new skills and gain practical experience. Assignments may include shelving materials, using the Library catalog, working from reports, and selecting items for display.

Applications are available online and at the Reference Desk. Please return completed applications to the Reference Desk attention: Brandon Buckley

Requirements:

  • High school age
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Must be able to interact with library patrons and staff
  • Alphabetize and place things in numerical order
  • Your application does not grant acceptance into the high school volunteer program. We receive more applications than we have positions.
