LOBBY BOOK SALES: Now Open at Haines!
Hurray! The Friends lobby book sales are back! You can now shop for used books and items in the lobby of the Haines building, during regular Library hours. Look for the Friends bookshelves at the end of the Holds in the main library hallway.
Pricing for items:
- Hardcover books $2.00
- Paperback books $1.00
- CDs and DVDs $2.00
The Library is still unable to take used book donations or any items. If you have items to donate, please check with other nearby libraries, other charitable or service organizations. Thank you for your patience!
Established in 1979, the Friends of St. Charles Public Library is committed to raising funds in support of the Library for the benefit and enhancement of its services, programs, facilities, staff, and the community it serves.
The Friends meet three times each year in October, February and June. Meetings are preceded by a potluck dinner (no food is currently being served due to COVID-19). Learn more...
Members pay no yearly dues. Membership requirements include attending at least one meeting a year, participating in one activity (i.e. book sale) and serving on a committee if asked.
